A. Study of the diagnostic and monitoring efficiency of serum glucose and fructosamine measurements
This is a prospective study on the potency of a simplified diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes. The overall project is to measure the routine analytes of diabetes diagnosis and monitoring and add the measurement of serum fructosamine with a view to estimate the diagnostic Bayes’ factor of a simplified procedure.
B. Newborn Screening in Nepal
This project aims to find out the prevalence of newborn disease in Nepal so that the national protocol could be constructed. The project is a coalition between the Bench to Clinic Research Center, Nepal Health Research Council and the Newborn Screening Unit of Oslo University Hospital in Norway.
